Accredited Cervical Screening New Skills Course

These courses are Accredited by the Royal College of GP's. 
With a background in Practice Nursing and Clinical Training Management Wendy has always had a special interest in this topic and has taken a lead role in initiating the development of the cervical screening training programmes and their continual evolution based on guidelines and clinical evidence.

The criteria for our cervical screening training programmes are simple. All samplers should be able to access a high standard of training that is balanced with theoretical and practical assessment.

In addition all stakeholders are involved in the development and delivery of the programmes.

This course includes pre-course reading, 2 core days that is a balance of theory and clinical skills, department visits, in-house clinical placement with a mentor and final assessment undertaken by Clinical Training Limited. If additional visits are required to complete all aspects of the course requirements, there will be an extra charge to be met by the Surgery/Practice. The assessment includes: - 85% pass is required of multi-choice exam prior to allocation to clinical placement - Evidence based portfolio - all students are required to submit an evidence-based portfolio with the student's completed competencies, audit and visits.
