Accredited Cervical Screening Introduction, New Skills

No access before 0915. This course is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners. This course includes pre-course reading, 2 core days that is a balance of theory and clinical skills, department visits, in-house clinical placement with a mentor and final assessment undertaken by Clinical Training Limited. If additional visits are required to complete all aspects of the course requirements, there will be an extra charge to be met by the Surgery/Practice. The assessment includes: - 85% pass is required of multi-choice exam prior to allocation to clinical placement - Evidence based portfolio - all students are required to submit an evidence-based portfolio with the student's completed competencies, audit and visits.

2 Day Introduction to Influenza, Pneumo, Shingles & B12

Access from 09.45 only. This course is for those new to this subject and will describe the current UK national programmes for Influenza, Pneumococcal, shingles and B12 vaccines. It will cover all aspects including a brief overview of the immune system, legal issues, accountability, storage and handling of vaccines, Patient Specific directions, infection control, Injection technique and after care and advice.
