This course is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners. This course includes pre-course reading, 2 core days that is a balance of theory and clinical skills, department visits, in-house clinical placement with a mentor and final assessment undertaken by Clinical Training Limited. If additional visits are required to complete all aspects of the course requirements, there will be an extra charge to be met by the Surgery/Practice. The assessment includes:- 85% pass is required of multi-choice exam prior to allocation to clinical placement - Evidence based portfolio - all students are required to submit an evidence based portfolio with the student's completed competencies, audit and visits. This Cervical Screening course is suitable for all nurses who have never taken smears. The course includes 2 core days, pre-course reading, departmental visits and clinical placement with an in-house mentor and a final assessment undertaken by Clinical Training Ltd.

This course is suitable for nurses and doctors who require their 3 yearly update. The course includes, the Cervical Screening Screening Programme, the Women's Screening Service, the Colposcopy Laboratory, sampling, the results, achievements and the future.
